Blood tests required for a FULL ANTIHPHOSPHOLIPID SCREENING as follows : -
You can go to your GP or specialist to get tested for APS. Ask for a full Antiphospholipid screening test.
Many doctors are unsure of what the tests involved actually are, the various blood Labs all have different criteria for APS. As a result people can easily slip through. Please ensure the following tests are taken and ask for a copy of your results. You can then fax them or scan them through to me so I can help explain them to you.
ANTI-CARDIOLIPIN IgG
ANTI-CARDIOLIPIN IgM
ANTI-CARDIOLIPIN IgA
ANTI-B2-GLYCOPROTIEN IgG
ANTI-B2-GLYCOPROTIEN IgM
ANTI-B2-GLYCOPROTIEN IgA
ANTI-PROTHOMBIN IgG
ANTI-PROTHOMBIN IgM
ANTI-PROTHOMBIN IgA
Other important tests are
Prothombin Time (INR/PI)
Part Thromboplastin Time (PTT)
Lipo- protein, (which has recently become recognised as a potential marker of APS)
and A full blood count.

ANTI-GLYCOPROTIEN IgG, IgM &IgA and

If using a different lab to those indicated and your forms do not include any of these tests. You might need to call the lab yourself or copy all blood tests on first page. Attach it to blood form and let the nurse sort it out with the lab.
