Research into the Antiphospholipid Syndrome is vitally important and is it takes place both in the laboratory and at clinics. Research focuses on the mechanics of the antiphospholipid antibodies and aims to discover more about what causes the blood to clot, why some patients develop thrombosis and others do not, how different parts of the body are affected and which treatment is the most effective. APSSA hopes to be able to fund research into APS in South Africa and assist with research internationally.
We aim to update you with some recent and interesting research and articles.
